Therefore we could call Georg Riedel unic mix of missionary and business magnate – genius that literally invert his familiy company "Riedel Glas" and turn it in world known brand. Long since 1958. Riedel made a special glass for wine and sent it for test to baron Rotschield, but he got an answer that his wine Burgundy did not get any better, so Georg Riedel made another glass and enthusiastic baron ordered glasses from him right away. Rest is history: today Riedel glasses are cult and best glass world wide, very often people attach them status like Ferrari or Rolls-Roys. Under his guidance «Riedel glass» became leading company for making glass in whole world and currently makes arround 5 millions highquality wine glass per year. Wineproducers and restaurants from all over the world accepts his way of thinking, and his beautiful glasses for specific varieties of wine spangle home of many wine lovers and experts. Riedel design four basic glass lines: Sommeliers and Vinum, made of the most quality crystal, and Ouverture and Wine made of ingredients that containes kalium-carbonate. There are 33 different Sommeliers glass, but even that represnts only 15 % of whole Riedel industry.
