Ambrosia Chateau Piche - Leibre
Bordeaux, France
Price: 52,00 €/L
It goes well with red meat and game meat dishes. When it comes to a wine like this one, you must continue to enjoy it even after the meal. It is very complex and goes through certain changes in the glass, which are not to be missed.
- 16-18 °C
This wine has an intense ruby color, and is made exclusively from cabernet sauvignon. It was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (50% of which are new). Aroma of currants, dark fruit and tobacco. Very intense fruitiness with a touch of dark chocolate and vanilla. A long and pleasant finish. The stem was completely removed from the grapes that originate from the gravelly-sandy loam which doesn't retain moisture, but is permeable to the heat from the sun, which is invaluable for the relatively chilly Bordeaux region. The wine isn’t filtered, but is left to settle and form the lees. The care and the effort put into this wine provide a wonderful insight into the Margaux appellation for only a fraction of the price that usually accompanies its wines.
