Bols Barrel Aged Genever
Boles Barrel Aged Genever is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. Rich and rounded taste with barrel tones, pine admixtures and a fruity finish. Made in small batches, according to an original recipe by Lucas Bols from the 19th century. Distiller master Piet Van Leijenhorst, is inspired by the American bourbon tradition. With his many years of experience in aging Genever, he decided that the original Bols Genever recipe from the 19th century would be perfect for aging in oak.
You can serve Genever only, or as the Dutch tradition dictates in a ritual called "Kopstootje". A little beer and a glass, full to the brim, Genevera.
