When Dom Pérignon chooses to be rosé, this is a declaration of freedom. Freedom to explore and push the limits of creativity. Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008 bears witness to an exceptional year in a decade of brazenly generous sun. Gray, overcast skies through spring and summer led to a deficit of both light and warmth. Then September saw a late and miraculous reversal: the maturity of the grapes surpassed all expectations, revealing exceptional high-toned balance.
Tempered by a slow, meticulously controlled transformation during nearly twelve years of elaboration, Dom Pérignon Rosé is untamed and carnal, chiaroscuro and resolutely magnetic.

The initial sensations unfold with a bouquet of raspberries and wild strawberries, punctuated by the notes of iris and violet which meld with the fruit aromas. After breathing, greener nuances arrive, evoking privet, angelica and camphor tree. The acidic foundation – the signatureof the vintage – articulates the structure of the pinot, vibratingthe heart of the wine. This vibration embraces the thrill of the unknown, compelling a fresh perception of Dom Pérignon Rosé, an invitation to explore.
The affirmed, persistent finish is redolent of peonies and white pepper.
