The grapes for this Plavac come from the southern slopes of vineyard near the village of Bol. After manual harvesting and grape selection follows the controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The grapes are macerated for 7 to 21 days and then follows the maturation in used barrique barrels for another twelve months.
The wine has a dark, ruby color. Strong aromas of maraschino cherries, dark chocolate and Mediterranean herbs emerge from the glass. The palate is dominated with notes of plum and ripe cherries. The characteristic tannins for Plavac mali are smooth and well incorporated into a strong and long-lasting finish, additionally enriched with notes of sweet spices from the wood.
