Lamborghini Campoleone is company`s representative wine. Composed of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot. The grapes for this wine come from a small vineyard in Umbria, dating back to the 1970s. After maceration for 18 days, both varieties are matured separately for twelve months in French oak barriques. The wines are blended only before being bottled, where they mature for at least six months.
Campoleone is a very complex and layered wine, with a solid structure. The bouquet is very broad, dominated by black currants, plums and violets, with some notes of tobacco, chocolate and leather. Ripe berries dominate in the mouth. The tannins are ripe and enveloping, and the finish is long and persistent.
