Plavac mali is one of the most famous black varieties in Croatia. It requires a lot of knowledge and effort for the best results, but the effort invested is rewarding many times over. It is specific for its very pronounced tannins, which the winemaker must be able to soften without suffering the liveliness of the wine. In terms of price and quality, it is difficult to match the Miličić winery, whose basic Plavac mali won the Decanter bronze in 2012, and it is very affordable. It is obvious that in this family the knowledge of work in the field and in the cellar is well preserved. In this large package, Plavac shows exactly all those sides of the variety that people are used to and appreciate, and very few, if any, serious shortcomings. The wine is powerful, full-bodied, strong and high in alcohol. Plavče's has the aroma of prunes.
