The collaboration between Takashi Murakami and Dom Pérignon represents a blend of contemporary art and luxurious craftsmanship. Murakami, known for his vivid “superflat” style that combines high and popular culture, reinterpreted the classic image of champagne through motifs of joy, vitality, and togetherness. His recognizable smiling flowers symbolize the energy of life, the same one that guides Dom Pérignon in the process of creating each new vintage. Both brands share a dedication to time, patience, and transformation, Murakami in art, and Dom Pérignon in the nurturing of champagnes. The collaboration has thus become a dialogue between tradition and modernity, luxury and play, art and pleasure. An exceptional, layered, citrusy, and elegant 2015 vintage, as well as its gift box, are coming at the end of 2025, decorated with Murakami’s “smiling flowers” in cheerful and playful colors.
For Dom Pérignon Vintage, only the best grapes from the most exceptional years are used – their new vintage 2015 edition is no exception. With fruity and floral notes, and an impressive almost 10 years of maturation on the lees in the darkness of the cellar, it is characterized by a tactility and mouthfeel that is clear and persistent, full and delicate, and extremely long-lasting.
Dom Pérignon 2015 is a unique combination that is as stimulating as it is soothing. It is imbued with intense fruit aromas and flavors, dominated by citrus fruits and their peels, peaches, nectarines, and tropical fruits such as mangoes and pineapples. Scents of white and yellow flowers such as linden, jasmine, and peony balance smoky and roasted notes and notes of cocoa, while spices such as anise and cardamom enliven the overall experience. It is full-bodied in the mouth, with retained delicacy and a unique mineral and fruity long-lasting finish.
