Buhač Merlot is the most well-know wine from the Buhač winery from Srijem. Hopefully, this is partly because of the bronze won at the 2018 Decanter Awards, and because people have started increasingly following and appreciating such quality recommendations. It should be added that other wines from this winery are also in competition when it comes to the highest quality in relation to the price. The wine has a softer body, as merlot is generally not prone to high tannins. However, this one is slightly below average and has a lighter color of red fruit, even raspberries and cherries, along with the distinctive wild plums. It should be pointed out that the oak, with all its aromas and influence, is much further in the background, which is certainly commendable.
