Benvenuti Muškat San Salvatore
Istria and Primorje, Croatia
Price: 98,53 €/L
San Salvatore goes well with traditional cookies, dry cakes and the cake of Rab, but if you want an extraordinary experience beyond expectations, give it a chance with foie gras, soft brie cheese, blue moldy cheese, or perhaps with quality game pâté.
- 6-8 °C
Sweet wine from late harvest grapes with the additional drying after the harvest (2-3 months). It comes from the San Salvatore microlocation, after which it was named, just like its sister malvasia from the same site. It is one of the most important Croatian sweet wines which has been winning one medal after another, even without a lot of media exposure. As a true muscat, it is rich in rose aromas accompanied by lychee, honey and nuts. The wine is by no means tiresome, and has excellent acidity. Be careful how much you drink, its smoothness may fool you.
