Once upon a time, the first question in wine taverns was whether you wanted white or red wine. The tradition can still be found today. The Saint Hills winery decided to embody and preserve this tradition in their Black wine. Black is a very accessible, smooth, and soft - a true recognizable plavac. Great wine for everyday occasions, for entertaining and conversation. However, don’t let the smoothness of this wine deceive you - Black was made using the highest quality grapes from the oldest (Dingač) and the youngest plavac mali appellation (Komarna), where plavac is grown along with many other indigenous varities. This wine brings generations together. Plavac has always been a strong variety with great tannins that needed to be calmed and tamed, with a distinct aroma of dark, dried fruit and a moderate amount of sweet-spicy flavors. It is still the same today.
