There is nothing common and expected in Bibich’s Sauvignon Bas de Fain. This is a completely unique Sauvignon in the whole world. Until recently, it was the only sauvignon from hot Dalmatia, and even today there are only a few. It is not customary to plant sauvignon in an area as warm as Dalmatia. The profile of the wine, of course, is quite different. Although it has managed to retain enough acidity and freshness to make the wine drinkable and lively, the aromas are in the spectrum of ripe tropics, passion fruit, guava, pineapple but also peach. But the wine also contains some aromas that act as if for a short period of time had contact with the skins of berries, dried apricots, linden, overripe quince. The retro taste has a nice note of light tobacco.
