Terans from the Motovun region are gaining more and more fans and well-deserved attention. There are more and more awards that are concentrated in this, conditionally speaking, the easternmost part of the Istrian vineyards. Tomaz Teran Barbarossa has been aged in a barrel for a long time, which he tolerates very easily thanks to the tannins and acids that preserve it. In addition to being aged in oak, part of the grapes for this wine are left on the vine to begin to dry and harvested a few weeks later. The results are impressive; the structure is excellent, strong and stable and easily carries all the aromas to those of Prošek and those resembling Porto. On Vinistria wine competition it even defeated, now mythical, Santa Elizabeth. Lots of dark fruits, currants, black cherries, dried cherries and plums. Rich in fine-grained tannins and very earthy.
