Korčula is an oasis of white wines in a zone strongly dominated by red. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t blacks on the island. On the contrary, one of the most successful blues in my humble opinion is that of Biret, who, to make matters worse, has historically played primarily the role of pollinating the Greek. Plavac from Korcula often bears the synonymous name pagadebit, but it is actually Plavac. Korcula is even lighter and more elegant than other islands and especially Peljesac. This is often seen already in the color of the wine itself and the aromas that go more towards the cherry. A character who deserves to be developed into a special style of blue.
