When Johann-Joseph Krug founded the Krug Champagne house in 1843, his dream was to lend his name to an exceptional Champagne. In order to achieve this, he established some rules, the most important one being: never compromise on quality.

Today, six generations later, he would have given credit to his successors for their consistency of excellence. Krug is one of the few Champagne houses which produces only premium blends.

The wines are made from carefully selected grape varieties such as chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. All wines undergo malolactic fermentation, which gives the Krug Champagnes their rich and complex flavor.
