The Radovan family has long been involved in agriculture, passing down the "wine" gene to the new generations, Frank and son Antonio, who successfully run the family winery that values old experiences and adopts modern technologies.
Initially, the family owned 1.5 ha (3.7 acres) of the vineyards where old Malvazija vines were grown. Soon they began reconstructing the vineyard and planting new vines, as well as planting some new varieties such as cabernet sauvignon. Today, the family owns about 9 ha (22 acres) of vineyards, and successfully produces wines not only from the aforementioned varieties of Malvazija and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also from Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Refosco.
If you happen to be in the village of Radovani, you will be welcomed by old family houses with distinctive wrought iron gates (which used to be protection from cattle thieves) and the Radovan family cellar and tasting room where you can enjoy wine with the trademark colorful label depicting swallows with spread wings.
