The story of Vislander is the story of the islanders - of the Visans and the British. During the Second World War, a British air base was located on Vis. The Visans made an alliance with the British and exchanged wine for food, a dry military meal for Plavac. Vislander wines still bring the experience of times past, when Plavac was a means of survival for the people of Vis.
The vineyards are located at Milna, Tihobraće and Dračevo poje, where local varieties Plavac mali and Vugava are grown. Vineyards are cultivated traditionally, without the use of mineral fertilizers and synthetic pesticides, with maximum respect for the sustainable life of the soil, vines and fauna.
