For thousands of years, in more or less intermittent intervals, the vine has grown on this soil, and intoxicating, playful wines have been tasted and poured. Since the time of the Roman Empire and Roman culture dating back to the 2nd century, there have been legends and stories about the former vineyards and the Roman military outpost on the top of the hill. In the years following the Roman Empire, various medieval feudal lords ruled the region, leaving their mark in the viticulture and winemaking.

Tomislav Bolfan’s goal is to reach perfection and make completely natural wine, using an entirely natural method of cultivating the vine, and then processing the must into wine. This wine’s intoxicating freshness, a variety of mineral and fruity natural flavors and floral varietal aromas are best suited for people who won’t settle for less and can tell the difference.
