Skaramuča
The tradition of viticulture and winemaking in the Skaramuča family of Pelješac is as old as the family itself.
The love of viticulture and winemaking has been passed down for generations. The sale of grapes in the Potomje winery stopped in 1992 when private persons were allowed to market wine as the final product. Since then, the Skaramuča family has been operating as a private grape and wine producer.
Today, the Skaramuča family grows 130,000 grapevines of Plavac Mali. The vineyards of the Skaramuča family are located on prominent locations of the Pelješac Peninsula, belonging to the Pelješac parish and Dingač sites. The vineyards on the southern slopes of Dingač cover an area of 20 ha (50 acres).
The Skaramuča family cellar is one of the most modern cellars in Dalmatia. The cellar with a capacity of 600,000 liters includes stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, and annually produces 70,000 bottles of premium Dingač wine, 20,000 bottles of Dingač barrique and 60,000 bottles of quality Plavac wine, all of which are recognizable on both the domestic and the foreign market.
