Livaić

The tradition of viticulture and winemaking has been in the Livaić family for several generations. The first vineyards were planted by hand by their grandfathers. Today, the job was taken over by brothers Davor and Tomislav. The younger of the two brothers, Tomislav, has always known that the vineyards were his future profession. Davor, on the other hand, lived and worked in Zagreb for a while, but the love for Dalmatia was stronger.

Today, the Livaić brothers have about 4 ha (10 acres) of land in the Pirovac - Skradin region, and around 20,000 vines. The vineyards are mostly positioned on the slopes, which allows high natural sugars which can be tasted in their smooth and sweet wines. They grow local varieties such as Maraština, Debit, Babić and Plavina using eco-friendly methods.
