Movia

The Movia estate has been around since the 1700s. In 1820, it came into the possession of the Kristančič family through marriage. From then on, besides intensive fruit growing, the family has also been involved in viticulture. Today, they own 22 ha (54 acres) of vineyards, half of which are located on the Italian side of the Gorizia Hills (Collio). The region is known for flysch (a sediment formed by rocks of different grain size and composition) and the Mediterranean climate, and as such is ideal to produce dry wines. The wines of the Gorizia Hills are fresh, lively and well-balanced.

Movia is not just the name of the winery, it embodies the lifestyle and honesty of the producers. Movia is the symbol of the highest standards, sought by all true wine lovers year after year. The Movia wines are produced without filtration or enological interventions and with utmost respect for nature.

The extensive range offers light classics, matured wines with excellent aging potential, as well as special wines which are unique in every way.
