Chiavalon extravergin olive oils are the most awarded Istrian olive oils in the world, and they are produced in Vodnjan. So far, they have won numerous international awards, and the world's most famous guide to olive oils- Flos Olei, ranked them in the TOP 15 best olive oils in the world.
Today, the family cultivates 15 hectares of olive orchards and has 7,500 olive trees, which are all organically grown. They predominantly grow local olive varieties, such as buža, moražola, bianchera… Olives are harvested and processed by variety, after which the resulting oils are blended so they can have the same taste every year. Chiavalon oils go very well with a variety of cheeses, grilled fish, mollusk dishes, red and white meat, as well with desserts such as ice cream or chocolate cakes.
