Tenute Capaldo
Tenute Capaldo is a boutique estate who produces only two single-vineyard wines, which are effectively the reference points for Campanian Greco di Tufo and Campanian Taurasi (Aglianico). Tenute Capaldo show off the unique, diverse terroir of the Irpinia region in the central part of Campania. In Irpinia, viticultural practices rely on an established agricultural tradition, passed through families for generations, far from any intensive farming practice.
The two wines,Goleto and Gulielmus, are inspired by a magical place, wrapped in light and mystery: the Goleto Abbey. The abbey was built in the XII century and then partially destroyed by the earthquake in 1980. Goleto preserves its timeless beauty and remains today an emblem of Irpinia. Through their iconic names, these two wines celebrate the magic and authentic heritage of Irpinia and showcase the beauty and potential of Southern Italy.
