Sauska
Combining tradition, a love for wine, dreams, and friendship, Sauska Winery has been producing wines for over a quarter of a century. Located in the heart of Hungary’s Tokaj wine region and founded in 1999, its owners have been dedicated from the very beginning to producing high-quality wines that reflect the authenticity of Hungary’s terroir. The winery’s vineyards are spread across several locations, with the most notable being in the wine regions of Tokaj and Villány. Sauska Winery is known for its passion for producing wines based on traditional Hungarian varieties, as well as cultivating international varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. In Tokaj, a region known for its specific microclimatic influence on the grapes, Sauska produces outstanding wines, among which their dry and sweet wines made from the Furmint grape stand out, which is the base for Tokaji Aszú. Sauska is recognized for its modern approach to winemaking in this historic region, and their work in Tokaj both preserves and enhances the tradition of production.
