Cloudy Bay

The Cloudy Bay winery was established back in 1985. Its founder, David Hohnen, decided to take the risk and plant the first vineyards in the Marlborough region. The full potential of the region was soon discovered, and it became the leading winemaking region of New Zealand.

Today, Cloudy Bay is an undisputed leader of the New Zealand winemaking, known primarily for its sauvignon blanc. The business philosophy of this winery can be summarized in two words - strive for perfection!

The Marlborough region has the most hours of sunshine per year, and its mild climate enables the cultivation of wine with beautiful fruity aromas.
