Many top wine critics consider him one of the best viticulturists in Slovenia, with an uncompromising philosophy of producing biodynamic wines. The winery is located in the Gorizia Hills, and run by Edi and his son Aleks, who have continued a long family tradition. Even white wines are fermented and aged in oak barrels, making them stylistically very similar to French wines.
On a total of 7.5 ha (18.5 acres), white varieties are predominantly cultivated. The Gorizia Hills are famous for varieties such as white pinot, pinot gris, chardonnay, and malvazija. A lot of faith is also placed in the potential of ribolla. The wines are mineral, full-bodied, and yet fresh, with the aging potential of up to six years. Red varieties are merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, in various cuvées, which also have a very long aging potential.
