Edi Simčič's Triton wines are based on a wide range of varietal aromas. The goal is to offer original and different aromas, but the range and uniqueness are drawn both from the variety and from the vineyard, and not as much from the cellar. The foundations of the basic Triton are chardonnay and sauvignon, which are uplifted by pinot blanc or gris. Lex is part of the premium range and this is where the foundation of chardonnay and sauvignon is uplifted by ribolla gialla. The varieties are in equal proportions, and each of them brings a specific dimension to the wine. Chardonnay brings ripe fruits and extracts, sauvignon adds herbal aromas and acidity, while ribolla gives softness and tenderness to the cuvée.
