Weingut Tement

The Tement winery is located in the south of Austria, on a small plateau in the province of Styria, along the border with Slovenia. Styria is famous for its white wines - the winery's assortment consists entirely of white varieties. The varieties grown are Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Pinot Blanc (Weißburgunder), Chardonnay (Morillon) and Gewürztraminer.

The Steirische Klassik range offers fresher and fruitier white wines. However, there is a notable difference when Austria is compared to other wine countries. The Austrian terroir and style of white wines are typically less fruity, with minerality emerging from the background.

The grapes from large sites (Sernau and Zieregg) marked G-STK are vinified using the traditional methodinto white wines intended for aging. Great emphasis is put on the features of the terroir.
