Sontacchi

The fans of the Sontacchi wines have steadily been growing in number. This is a small winery in the Kutjevo region with a great history, dating back to early 20th century when Tomaso Sontacchi worked in Baron Turković's winery, which he managed between the two world wars.

The Sontaki family cultivates 1.5 ha (3.7 acres) of their own vineyard and 1 ha (2.5 acres) of cooperative vineyards (pinot noir). In the sites of Venje and Kutjevo-Vidim they grow Welschriesling, Portugieser, Müller-thurgau, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir in the proportion of 70% red and 30% white wine varieties. Interventions are kept to a minimum, yields are controlled and the natural path to quality is always considered.
