Royal Hill Estate
The vineyards of Royal Hill Estate are located at Kraljevo Brdo, on the southern slopes of Erdut Hill, where 300 years ago, nobleman - winemakers, planted the first vineyards. Location Kraljevo brdo is completely located on the largest river peninsula in Europe, where the river Danube winds around three sides of the vineyards, with a dominant influence on the micro climate. Frequent change of winds from the Danube, reduces sudden temperature changes in the continental climate, while the soil has an excellent ability to retain deep moisture.
The vineyards cover about 45 hectares of some of the best positions of Erdut vineyards. Mostly classic French grape varieties are grown, such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The temporary home of Royal Hill Estate is in the Erdut vineyards, but there is a project of building an own, ultramodern winery, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
