Aura
Distillery Aura is a family distillery located in Buzet in Istria. In the beginning of the 2000s, the family had a small souvenir shop. Back in a days, the tourists were interested in the biska, a traditional Istrian brandy made from mistletoe, originated from Hum, a world's smallest town. Due to huge interest, the idea of producing distillates was born. Firstly, it was a hobby, but thanks to hard work, the hobby developed into a family business. Besides the biska, the family is also producing many other liqueurs and brandies as well as jams. On the area of 600 square meters, a production and a shop are located. In the basement, decorated in a rustic style, visitors can see the whole production. The main ingredients are found in the nature around the distillery. Today, in the distillery, are produced twenty-four brandies and liqueurs, four types of gin, an extra virgin olive oil, and vinegars from elderflower seeds and wild apples. Products of the distillery are winners of many prizes, and some of them, like the Aura Teranino, have won the same prize several times.
