Marimar Estate
Marimar Estate is a family-owned winery located in California, specifically in Sonoma. Its owner is Mrs. Marimar, who comes from the famous Spanish winemaking and viticulture family Torres. The Torres winery in Spain has been in operation for over 150 years, and after completing her education, Mrs. Marimar wanted to expand the family legacy and business beyond the borders of her homeland. She found the ideal terroir for her vision right in California. In 1992, the winery was built in the style of typical rural family houses from Catalonia, and on 81 hectares of vineyards, international varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are cultivated, alongside traditional Spanish varieties such as Albariño and Tempranillo. As a tribute to her father, the largest vineyard of Marimar Estate, where the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines are planted, is named after Mrs. Marimar’s father, Don Miguel Torres.
