This Chardonnay pays tribute to the family country house (La Masia) in Catalonia. The Mariamr winery itself, located in Sonoma, was designed based on this family house. The Chardonnay for this wine is grown on clay, sandy, and volcanic soils. After harvesting, the wine undergoes fermentation in wooden barrels and it is aged for ten months. With a beautiful golden color, it opens on the nose with notes of orange blossom, vineyard peach, honeycomb, and kumquat, rounded out with creamy caramel notes combined with tobacco and toasted wood. On the palate, the wine is layered, mineral, and full-bodied. Citrus aromas are present, and the long-lasting finish is accompanied by a creamy texture that lingers in the mouth.
