Sylvmann

Sylvmann is the new, garage winery of the great Silvio Jermann, one of the most famous Italian white wine producers of the 20th century. In 2008, Silvio began aquiring his first vineyards in Goriške Brda (Collio) near the town of Dobrovo, which is the hometown of his great-grandfather Anton. In mid-2023, Silvio opened a small winemaking cellar and launched his first wines. His vineyards cover aprox.10 hectares, where he grows historical varieties of this area, such as Rebula, Sauvignonasse (Friulan) and Malvasia. At this stage of his career, Silvio decided to return to his roots and he began to produce orange wines, exclusively in terracotta amphorae, which allow for micro-oxygenation. Three labels are currently on the market, Višvik, Pr`Dobu and Živijo Angelo, a label produced on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of his father Angelo.
