Unicum is a legendary and unique herbal liqueur, based on a secret family recipe and distilled from over forty different herbs and spices. It was originally created as a digestive aid at the royal court of Austria-Hungary in 1790, but over the centuries it has become a drink for any time of day. Â In the distillery of the Zwack family in Budapest, Unicum is first aged in large oak barrels, and then filled in distinctive round bottles, which have been the trademark of this historic brand for almost two hundred years.
