Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda Douro

Quinta da Leda is a superior quality wine that embodies the exclusive richness and contemporaneity of great Douro wines. Quinta da Leda is defined by its complexity and elegance: distinctive elements celebrated in the wines of Casa Ferreirinha, the brand with the biggest tradition of quality in the Douro region. Produced using grapes from the best plots at Quinta da Leda, that were harvested manually, and then sorted on arrival at the winery. The fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, after which a long and gentle maceration followed, in order to extract the compounds that give this wine its colour, aroma and flavour. Matured in new (50%) and used (50%) French oak barrels for a period of roughly 18 months.
A ruby colour of good depth, this wine has an aroma of great complexity with floral notes of violet, balsamic hints of cedar and tobacco box, splashes of red and black fruit, some minerality and a well-integrated wood element. Smooth on the palate, it has shapely tannins, a vibrant acidity and further notes of flowers and red fruit that invite an extremely elegant, harmonious finish.
It is recommended that the wine be decanted prior to consumption.
