Quinta de Azevedo has been located in northern Portugal since the 12th century and has been recognized for its monumental tower since the 16th century. Over the centuries, it has retained its charm, and today it encompasses thirty-four hectares of distinctive white grape varieties. One of these is Alvarinho, from which this wine is made. This 100% Alvarinho was hand-harvested and cooled before arriving at the winery. After fermentation, the wine is aged for six months on fine lees with occasional bâtonnage. Fifteen percent of the wine aged in new French oak barrels. The nose exudes aromas of stone fruits, with the most prominent notes being peach and apricot. On the palate, it is pleasantly fresh with subtle notes of ripe fruit and a gentle influence of oak, which gives a special complexity and creaminess to the wine. Rich and long-lasting finish.
