Born from nature, elevated over time – that’s how Ruinart describes its Blanc de Blancs 2013 vintage.
The year was marked by challenges, with a later-than-usual harvest. Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2013 is made entirely from Chardonnay sourced from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards — 70% from the Côte des Blancs and 30% from the Montagne de Reims. The grapes were picked by hand, and the wine spent over twelve years in development, including nine years aging on fine lees. It has an intense golden color with green highlights that reflect its youthful character. On the nose, it is fresh yet complex, opening with notes of toasted almonds, brioche, and pastry. These are followed by citrus hints of lemon zest and delicate floral aromas with subtle smoky and fragrant notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant, fresh, and creamy. Citrus and floral aromas are nicely present, while a light peppery note adds structure and extends the finish.
