Veralda
Veralda Winery is located on the prestigious Buje hills, in the heart of northern Istria, an area renowned for its exceptional viticultural potential. The winery’s name derives from the very position of the vineyard next to the wine cellar, emphasizing the strong connection between the Visintin family and this territory. The family tradition began in 1938, and today Veralda is fully dedicated to the cultivation of grapevines and olive trees. The winery’s focus is on indigenous Istrian varieties, Malvasia Istriana, and Refosco, which, through an organic approach and modern enological methods, best express the character and authenticity of the terroir. Veralda is internationally recognized as a winery that successfully combines tradition and innovation, a reputation confirmed by the prestigious “Platinum Best in Show” award for the world’s best red wine, won in London in 2016. Veralda wines are distinguished by their freshness, pronounced character, and long-lasting flavors, with an identity shaped by the unique terroir of the Buje hills.
