Golden yellow in color with amber reflections and pronounced density, this 100% Malvasia from the Pianel vineyard on the Buje hills comes from terraced vineyards on sandy white soil, exposed to a warm northwest orientation. On the nose, it is exceptionally rich and complex, with aromas of dried fruit such as apricot and almond, complemented by pronounced notes of caramel, honey, and warm spices including cinnamon, coriander, and turmeric. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, soft, rounded, and highly layered, with a long and elegant finish. It is produced through fermentation with 15-day skin maceration using natural vineyard yeasts (pied de cuve), followed by natural malolactic fermentation, and aged for six months on fine lees in 225-liter neutral oak barrels.
