Brockmans

Brockmans is a British premium gin producer founded in 2006, with the idea of creating a gin that respects traditional principles while interpreting them in a contemporary and unconventional way. The brand is particularly recognized for its use of dark berries, which add distinctive fruitiness, roundness, and exceptional smoothness to the classic juniper-based profile. Brockmans gins are produced in copper stills, with the botanicals macerated for as long as 14 hours in neutral grain spirit and water before distillation. This process allows the aromas and flavors of the botanicals to be fully extracted. A carefully controlled nine-hour distillation then follows, producing a concentrated spirit of approximately 80% ABV, which is subsequently rested and gradually diluted to the final strength of 40% ABV. Brockmans describes its approach as “Properly Improper” – a combination of respect for tradition and a willingness to push the boundaries of the gin category. It is precisely this combination of traditional botanicals, unexpected ingredients, and a carefully controlled production process that makes Brockmans gins distinctive among lovers of modern, aromatic, and characterful gins.
