Bodegas Escudero Rioja Reserva is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo and 15% Garnacha. The grapes come from 75-years old vineyards. The grapes are harvested manually at optimum maturity. After the fermentation in stainless steel tanks the aging is done in American and French oak barrels with at least 18 months. After the aging the wine remains in the bottle cellar at least 28 months.
Brick red deep color. Clean, complex and with good intensity on the nose with red fruit aromas well conjoined with the aging aromas, balsamic, spices, tobacco and leathers. Well structured, savory, ample and soft but with character and good harmonized flavors. Complex and long finish.Â
