Istria and Primorje, Croatia
This is an exceptional cuvÃ©e from the red soil of Istria. Merlot, cabernet sauvignon, terrano and borgonja (blaufrÃ¤nkisch) contribute to the final impression, as does the careful aging process. Part of the wine is aged in barrique barrels and part in 500-liter puncheons from 12 to 14 months, depending on the year, followed by another 6 months in stainless steel containers. Excellently preserved color - deep, muted ruby with purple reflections. The wine was softened by aging, it is pleasant and smooth, full of the aroma of berries, hot spices and plum jam.
