Kastel SIkuli's Crljenak (Zinfandel) is deep ruby in color. On the nose, aromas of sweet spices, vanilla, pepper, and prunes dominate. They are followed by berry aromas, especially blueberry. It is elegant on the palate with aromas of prunes, red and black berries, and dried figs. Acidity is moderately pronaunced, the tannins are soft and velvety, and the finish is medium.
The aging potential is a minimum of three to five years.
