Torres Miguel Cordillera Carménère
Central Valley, Chile
It pairs wonderfully with ribs in a spicy sauce or chicken wings in a lemon-chili sauce.

Carmenere is an originally French variety, coming from Bordeaux, but it also shows excellent results in Chile. The Miguel Torres winery, present not only in Spain but also in Chile, has its vineyards in the Central Valley (Valle Central). There, the Carmenere variety is grown, which in this winery produces a wine with a deep purple color, wonderfully expressive on the nose. Aromas of black currant, blackberries, blueberries, as well as spicy notes of vanilla and ginger, are present thanks to aging in oak for eleven months. The wine is also lightly mineral, which can be attributed to the volcanic soil on which the vines are grown. It is beautifully balanced on the palate, with aromas of dark berries, and the finish is long-lasting and pronounced.
