Zure Rebellion is a complex red wine originating from the vineyards of Lumbarda, representing a distinctly different oenological expression of the Zure Winery. It is a powerful blend of five varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Plavac Mali, and Alicante Bouschet. The wine matures in barrique barrels, which provide additional depth, structure, and complexity. In the glass, it stands out with a dark ruby-purple color, almost opaque. On the nose, aromas of ripe dark berries, black cherry, and blackberry dominate, interwoven with spicy notes of tobacco, dark chocolate, pepper, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied and warm, with pronounced tannins that are beautifully integrated thanks to the aging process. Mineral tones highlight its structure and add elegance, while the finish is long, layered, and refined.
