Tilia

Tilia Estate is a private wine cellar owned by the family of Melita and Matjaž Lemut, both trained winemakers and enologists with international experience gained in Switzerland and California.

Tilia is located in the southwest of the Vipava Valley in Slovenia. The winery was founded in 1994, and its first vintage was in 1996. On a total of 10 ha (25 acres) of vineyards, the following varieties are grown: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

The wine is sold under the name TILIA, which is the Latin name for linden trees growing on the property. The annual production is 47,000 bottles.
