Vipavska dolina, Slovenia
Nostra is a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Gris and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. The first half of fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks, and the second half in Slavonian oak barrique barrels. After fermentation follows active batonaging for 6 months. Â Notes of of green apple and white flowers dominate on the nose, with some herbal aromas of Sauvignon. The wine combines the freshness of Pinot gris and Sauvignon blanc with the body of Chardonnay. The wine is nicely balanced, with pleasant freshness and fruitiness, enriched with some spicy notes from oak.
