Zweigelt is an Austrian variety created by crossing the blaufränkisch (frankovka) and St. Laurent varieties. It is known for rich yields which need to be reduced. The Adžić zweigelt was macerated for 3 to 5 days, pressed and fermented in wooden barrels. It is characterized by a dark red ruby color, smell of red currants and berries, and a very smooth taste. The annual production does not exceed 4,000 liters.
