Les Clans is the golden mean of the Château d'Esclans Collection. It is made from a selection of grapes from the vineyards of the Esclans Valley, from medium-aged vines of grenache, vermentino and syrah. These vines grow at middle altitude, just between the vines intended for the Chateau d'Esclans roséand those the highest, the oldest, intended for Garrus.
The whole process from harvesting to bottling is strictly controlled and carefully carried out to prevent unwanted oxidation and use the best grape juice. There is no maceration, and alcoholic fermentation takes place in new and one-year-old 600 L French oak barrels. It is aged for 10-12 months by the "batonnage" method twice weekly.
The result is an extremely aromatic rosé, elegant, rich and full-bodied. On the nose you can feel citrus, peach, red berries, but also some floral aromas. It is dry, creamy and juicy in the mouth. The fruitiness blends beautifully with the delicate notes of vanilla. Minerality is expressed just enough and complements elegance and fineness. The finish is as long as the durability of this wine.
